Wedding Fireworks
Getting married is one of the biggest steps we take as get older and look to settle down. It is unfortunate that many marriages end within the first year of them starting. If people concentrated more on how they’re going to manage their future with each other rather than the wedding fireworks may be more marriages would last.
It amazes me still further when you see just how much money is spent on these wedding ceremonies and after parties. Many statistics show that well over £20,000 is spent on wedding dress, wedding cake, fine wines on the average wedding. Average wedding! I think we spent less than £500, admittedly that was back in 1986, even still when people spend all that money wouldn’t it be better put down as a deposit for a home?

If you are looking for wedding favours with a difference then one option could be to hand out five lumps of sugar almonds to each of your guests. Most of them will not know that this was the original gift and for weddings signified ‘health, wealth, and happiness, fertility and long life’. The reason for sugar was that many years ago sugar was the reserve of the rich and so symbolised great wealth and prosperity.
